Statement from Vauxhall Labour Party
Vauxhall Labour Party has agreed to work together to champion our shared Labour values and promote the good work Kate has done in the constituency over the past 28 years - including recently working with local activists and councillors to defend our community centres from closure at the hands of a local housing association. We will stand up for vulnerable local residents who have suffered, not only from Theresa May and her band of hard Brexiteers, but also from the 2010-15 Lib Dem/Tory Coalition that decimated our communities with their brutal policy of austerity
Looking to the future, our task is to define how best we can come together to protect and defend our communities; champion workers rights; build a stronger economy; and ensure that post-Brexit Britain works in the interests of all and not just the privileged elite.
We believe that fighting for Labour in Vauxhall, across London and the UK as a whole is the only way that we can ensure a Britain fair for all.
